DR JOANNA JARVIS

Dr Joanna Jarvis is a Consultant in Clinical Genetics at the West Midlands Regional Genetics Service. She has worked in adult and paediatric renal genetics multi-disciplinary services, both for children and adults, from 2008. Specialist interests include renal genetics; genetics of deafness; and education. She created the group RenGenUK, a collaborative clinical network and is one of the principal organiser of the networks’ meetings. The aim of the network is to facilitate standardised health care in renal genetics services nationally, provide education for health providers in the field of renal genetics, and to promote clinical research.

DR LOUISE ONI MBChB, MRCPCH, MA, PhD

Dr. Louise Oni is an international leader in Paediatric Nephrology. She is passionate about collaborative work to achieve age-inclusive, equitable and efficient research for the benefit of children. Academically, she has an interested in rare inflammatory diseases and leads a workstream consisting of a multi-professional group of researchers focused on delivering translational research to stop kidney failure in children. Dr. Oni is leading a large project to establish a national Translational Rare Kidney Disease Centre called the LifeArc-KRUK Centre for Rare Kidney Disease also known as the 'UK Kidney Ecosystem'. She is a member of the ESPN glomerular diseases working group, the International IgAN Network Research group representing children, the PRINTO/PReS working group for IgA vasculitis and the European IgA vasculitis working group to develop position statements for the management of adult IgAV (EUGAVAS). She works in close partnership with industry colleagues, providing expert consultancy roles for >9 global pharmaceutical companies including acting as the UK chief investigator for commercial studies.
